award and hope this brings attention to the great work the staff and volunteers
do every day at the museum. In 2007 we hope to enhance services to teachers,
students, and community members to generate additional interest in our county’s
history. If you have any suggestions, ideas, or would like to become involved

Among the museum’s cited
accomplishments during 2006 were:

Visitor Enhancements:

Completion of the McCreary County
Museum Website which was visited by 21,651 people in 2006.

Completion of the McCreary County
Museum Photo Digitization Project sponsored by a technology grant from the
Kentucky Historical Society. This project included the digitization of
approximately 3000 photographs that will be available for individuals to use as
a search tool starting in April 2007.
